Homemade Chocolate Cake Frosting Recipe
1 stick of butter or margarine (I use butter)
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3 cups of powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)
1/3 cup milk (I use 2% milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (I use Watkins)
Melt the butter or margarine in a bowl using your microwave. Pour the melted butter into a large mixing bowl. Stir in the cocoa powder, powdered sugar and milk; use an electric mixer and beat until the batter is of spreading consistency. Stir in the vanilla extract and beat again. Spread the chocolate frosting onto your favorite cake, cupcakes or brownies.
